Mimic Party Wheel & Sabotages: Every Bonus and Effect

The Mimic Party wheel between rounds, showing +10, +20, x1.5, +5 and +1 star segments and three microphone sabotage segments

Official Steam screenshot (the French-language build — the caption reads “Dix points offerts sur ta prochaine imitation”, ten points added to your next imitation).

Everybody spins at the same time and each player gets their own result — “when the wheel spins, we all have our own one”, as one streamer puts it. Bonuses are why some scores land above 100.

Sabotage effects

FoliesApp’s Steam page and FAQ list the official effects. Gameplay videos from launch week show the names the game uses on screen, read aloud by the players:

EffectWhat happens to the victim’s next takeWhere it’s documented
SaturationPlayed back distortedSteam page, foliesapp.com
EchoPlayed back echoing (“Why am I double echoing?”)Steam page; Jack Morrison Games, breezyfgames
Pitch shiftPlayed back at the wrong pitchSteam page
Chopped audio / BlackoutCut to pieces or cut out mid-take (“I landed on blackout. Now I get to choose you”)Steam page; Jack Morrison Games, Phunix
SwapTakes are swapped between players (“Swap. Pick a player.”)breezyfgames, Jack Morrison Games
Big Room”Their next take will get lost in a huge hall” — heavy reverbDanny Garcia Gaming
Fart / garbage soundThe whole take is replaced by a garbage sound the table hears instead of your voiceSteam page, foliesapp.com

Per FoliesApp, a sabotage “costs them points on top” of ruining the take.

How targeting works

  1. You land a microphone segment and the game asks you to pick a player.
  2. Their next take is played back with the effect — they record normally and have no idea.
  3. They find out when their take plays in front of the room, and only then learn who aimed at them.

Hosts can also take the wheel out entirely: a group in a launch-week Phunix video switches it off for a pure scoring game.

One thing that changed before launch

The August 12 announcement trailer described sabotage differently: “Spend your tokens to wreck someone’s take.” The Steam page at launch says the wheel hands out sabotages, and every launch-week video we checked shows the wheel, not tokens. We treat the wheel as current.
