Is Mimic Party free?
No. It is a paid Steam game. The “free” versions that show up in searches — browser sites, Google Play and Microsoft Store apps, APKs — are not made by FoliesApp; see Mimic Party mobile & APK. Cracked copies can’t use the Steam Workshop packs or join real Steam rooms, and we don’t link them.
What the DLC gives you
Steam describes Mimic Party : All Characters as: unlock all 14 characters instantly, including the Discord-exclusive one and every character added in future updates — “No need to grind levels”. In other words, characters are otherwise unlocked by levelling up; the DLC is a shortcut, not extra gameplay. Players in launch-week videos mention reaching “level three” and “level four” as they play.
One copy, more players?
- Everyone needs their own copy to join a room — it’s an online game, one account per player.
- Steam Family Sharing is supported (listed on the store page), so family members can share a library.
Is it worth $6.99?
We don’t score games we can’t measure ourselves. Here is what the public numbers say on September 10, 2026:
| Signal | Value |
|---|---|
| Steam user reviews | Mixed — 143 positive, 181 negative (324 in all languages) |
| Copies sold | 100,000+ (FoliesApp, September 9) |
| Players online | 723 when we checked (Steam, Sep 10) |
| Workshop packs | 4,054 |
The recurring complaints in the discussions are connection problems and scoring that feels random (troubleshooting, scoring). The recurring praise in launch-week videos is simply that it’s very funny with a group of friends. It’s a five-player party game at the price of a sandwich: it is best value if you already have the group.
