What is Mimic Party?
Mimic Party is an online voice party game by the independent French studio FoliesApp, out on Steam for Windows since August 27, 2026 at $6.99. Every round plays one reference sound to the whole room; 1 to 5 players record a single take at the same time, the takes play back one by one, and a local AI scores each one out of 100 on melody, rhythm and attacks — see how scoring works. Between rounds a wheel hands out bonus points, multipliers and sabotages you aim at a friend. Sounds come from sound packs, and the Steam Workshop already held 4,054 player-made packs on September 10, 2026. FoliesApp announced 100,000 copies sold on September 9.
There is no console or mobile version: the "free" browser, APK and app-store games using the name are not made by FoliesApp, and the Roblox game people mix it up with is a different game entirely.

Play Your First Game in 5 Steps
- Plug in a mic and put on headphones. The game is voice-only and speaker audio bleeds into your take; mic fixes here.
- Create a room and share the code. The host copies a room code, friends join with it; up to 5 players. Hosting guide.
- Subscribe to a few sound packs. Everyone in the room needs the same packs before the game starts. Top 15 packs.
- Copy the shape, not the voice. The AI ignores timbre and scores melody, rhythm and the number of attacks. Scoring guide.
- Spin the wheel and pick a victim. Bonuses go on your next take; sabotages go on someone else's. Wheel guide.

FAQ
What is Mimic Party?
Mimic Party is an online voice party game for 1 to 5 players by the independent French studio FoliesApp. Each round plays one reference sound to the whole table, everyone records a single take at the same time, and a local AI scores each imitation out of 100 on melody, rhythm and attacks. It came out on Steam for Windows on August 27, 2026.
Is it Mimic Party, Micmic Party or Mimik Party?
The official name is Mimic Party (two words). 'Micmic party', 'mimik party', 'mimc party' and 'mimicparty' all point to the same Steam game by FoliesApp. It is not related to The Mimic on Roblox or to Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic — our Roblox name-confusion guide lists every game called Mimic.
Is Mimic Party free?
No. Mimic Party costs $6.99 USD on Steam (it was 15% off at $5.94 in its launch sale as of September 10, 2026). There is no free version or demo; the 'free' browser, APK and app-store versions you may find are not made by FoliesApp. The price guide covers the DLC too.
How This Guide Is Kept Honest
Mimic Party Guide is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Mimic Party players — not affiliated with FoliesApp.
- How we verify: Every number on this site is tied to a public source we can reopen: the Steam store, review and news feeds, FoliesApp's own Mimic Party page, the Steam Workshop (subscriber counts carry the date we read them), and gameplay videos we name by channel. When a player report and an official statement disagree, we print both and say which is which.
- Update cadence: Once a week, and again after any FoliesApp announcement, we re-read the Steam news feed, the review summary and the Workshop most-subscribed list, and update the dates on the pages that changed.
- What we don't do: We do not link cracks, "free download" mirrors or APK files, and we do not describe lookalike apps or browser copies as the real game.
