Hosting a game with friends

  1. Create a room. The host gets a room code — “Code copied… I sent you a code. Now you join,” as Jack Morrison Games walks through it.
  2. Share the code in your Discord or chat. Friends enter it to join.
  3. Make it private if you don’t want strangers; hosts in launch-week videos toggle this before sharing the code.
  4. Pick the packs. Everyone needs every selected pack installed; the lobby shows who is still downloading. Top picks: sound packs.
  5. Set rounds and options. Four rounds is the default; groups raise it to seven, shuffle the playback order or switch the wheel off (how to play).

Voice chat: the half-second that matters

FoliesApp built voice chat so that “the moment a take starts playing, the whole table is muted so everyone hears the same thing. The second it ends, the mics open again”. If you are also on Discord, you’ll hear your friends over the take — several groups in launch-week videos leave Discord muted during rounds for that reason.

Joining problems and the region trick

Room codes that time out are the most common multiplayer complaint in the Steam discussions (two Russian-language threads with many “+1” replies). One player’s workaround, posted in those threads:

  • Open settings and switch your region to the same region as your friends.
  • Pick any region other than Europe — the player says the European servers were full.
  • Create an open party and have friends join after they switch region too.

This is a player report, not an official fix. More fixes, including “Host left the game” and the lobby that says it is full at 3/5, are on the troubleshooting page.

Can you play alone?

The Steam page says 1 to 5 players, so a room can start with one person, but everything that makes the game work — hearing other takes, the wheel, sabotages — needs other players. If you want strangers, open a public room instead of a private one.
